8th grade is over.

Hey, everyone! I know it's been weeks since I blogged last. I don't know why. I guess I'm just weird like that.

Today was my last day of school at UCA, and I have felt so sentimental all day. This school year has been so incredible! God has blessed me so much with amazing Christian friends. A year ago, I was beyond lonely. I felt so alone. Sometimes I felt like I would never have any friends again. But the Lord gave me even beyond what I wanted, and that is so amazing. I don't know why he would do that for a person like me, a sinner that deserves nothing at all. I feel SO inadequate and undeserving.

My friends are so cool. They're funny and nice. They are all super talented. They really care about their friend's lives and what they're going through. Most of all, I think it's so awesome that we all help each other along in our walks with the Lord. You just don't get that everywhere. I have met some people that are so special to me. I hope I get to hang out with them this summer a lot!

Ah, summer. Honestly, last summer was...bad. Probably the worst summer I've ever had. But I just know this one will be so much better.

Right now I'm watching High School Musical 3. I haven't watched these in so long! It's taking me back to life in 5th grade. haha. Zac Efron is still totally cute. haha. ;P

My grandparents came up here from Florida today. One of my cousins that lives up here is graduating. I know so many people that are graduating this year! To all my UCA friends graduating: I LOVE YOU GUYS! I can't imagine what school will be like without you next year. Follow your dreams, but listen to the Lord too. I know you guys future is going to be awesome. :) I hope we can stay in touch.

Easter and the affect of humidity on my hair.

Hey, everybody! I know I've been gone for a while...life has been crazy! Today is Easter (just in case you didn't already know). I've had a wonderful time today celebrating Jesus' resurrection so far (well, except for getting up at 5:00 A.M. for our sunrise service). I went to the sunrise service...it was very short. We got rained out, but everyone was glad to start on breakfast (the men of our church cooked it...with just a little help). We went back to our homes, and then enjoyed our Easter service.  I thought I might show you something I found kind of funny. This is me right when I first came outside after fixing my hair:

And this me after about 6 or 7 minutes out in the just-after-it-rains weather:
Yeah. If you're a girl, you can definitely see the difference.

I hope you enjoyed your Easter, because I know I have! I hope that Christians today didn't get too caught up in the Easter bunny, egg hunts, and pretty dresses and suits, but remembered what Easter is really all about.

Thanks for reading!

A great day, my neighborhood, and teenage confusion.

Why, hello, everyone! I have had a great day! Like a really, really great day! Today I went to school (UCA), and I had an amazing time with everyone. I am so thankful to God for the friends He's given me!

I just got in from working out. I ran for 20 minutes...I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but my neighborhood is just plain MOUNTAINOUS, y'all! Did 50 sit-ups and 20 push-ups. Did a lunge-walk. So yeah I'm a little tired.

*sigh*...I was just on Facebook...and you know those girls who guys just trip all over themselves for? I have absolutely no resentment for those girls, but...I just don't understand why guys do that for those certain girls. I mean, I don't know what they have that I don't. Personality? Looks? A cooler wardrobe? I wish I could figure it out. I guess I don't really want guys tripping all over me...but you know. I suppose I wish I had just a little more of that than I do....Hope that didn't sound too whine-y.

Which, of course, that's not going to ruin my great day, but it just confuses me. I don't know of anything I could be doing differently....I guess. Oh, being a teenager. Gotta love it. ;)

A typical Wednesday.

Hey, y'all! I haven't posted in a while, and nothing much has happened. I did my schoolwork. I know this is weird and horrifically nerdy, but I like REALLY like school. I get tired of it at the end of the day sometimes, but I actually look forward to it some mornings. In the summer, I get really bored without it. I'll probably work a little into the summer, just so I can complete all my textbooks. Wow. That sounded really geeky. haha.

But anyway! I got in from a run about an hour ago...Then I made a fruit smoothie. Ahhh.....I LOVE THEM. So good.

Well that's about it, you guys! UCA tomorrow! Woo! :D

The Saturday of April 9, 2011.

I don't really know how to start this post...so I guess I'll just get right into my day! :)

Well....I woke up this morning at 9:30. It was awfully quiet in the house because my dad's on a business trip and my little brother Andrew is at a friend's house. I was the last one to get up (after Momma and Jacob).

I dilly-dallyed around for a while doing nothing really productive...and then I did my baking for the week. I LOVE baking so I tried to find some kind of outlet for my baking a few months ago...where I could bake without eating all that I baked. haha! So I decided to take something sweet to my Sunday school class each week. This week, I made a blueberry "softbake". It's kind of a blueberry cookie/muffin. Here's a picture:

And then I did more unproductive stuff. Read. Watched a little TV.
Later, I decided it was time to catch up on my homework. In history, I had to do this little activity book...my "Civics Activity Book." In it, you have to fill out all these facts about America, your state, and county. Monday the state section is due, so I finished it up this afternoon. I think going through this book has been really fun and interesting. I've re-familiarized myself with and learned a lot of cool stuff about Tennessee. I moved to Tennessee when I was 10 (from Florida), and I LOVE it here. It's a beautiful state full of great people and there's so much music and culture...and it's just...fantastic! haha! There are the rural areas of Tennessee  that are so beautiful, peaceful, and refreshing. There are beautiful farms and small towns full of close-knit people. There are also awesome cities like Nashville and Memphis. The cities are really neat too. There is so much music in the Tennessee cities. Nashville is (obviously) the country music capital of the world. There's not just country artists here though. All different kinds of musicians come here, following their dreams. The record labels, the recording studios, the producers...it's all here! Don't forget Memphis though! It has a lot of jazz and rock and roll culture. Artists like Elvis and Justin Timberlake have come out of Memphis.

Tennessee is a VERY special state.

Before I end, I have to tell y'all something absolutely hilarious. Sometimes bugs get in our house like bees and wasps (ew), and my brothers have developed an interesting way of getting rid of these little pests. Shoot rubber bands like slingshots at them. It's hilarious to watch...My youngest brother Andrew is my official bug slayer. Whenever I see a bug that needs to be disposed of, I call Andrew.

I had a thought the other day. When I move out and a bug gets in my house...who's going to kill it for me?...

Just OK.

Soo....today. Today was, like the title of this post, just OK.

I went to UCA, and it was pretty good. Drama was hilarious. I love drama class...there are some REALLY talented kids in it. They crack me up every week! So that was a good part of my day. :)

Then homework. And exhaustion. And me over-thinking stuff that isn't important. I am so bad about that!

And I guess that was pretty much my day! Maybe tomorrow I won't be so tired. Tomorrow I have piano lessons, which are always good (well....most always).

Thanks for reading, y'all!

BTW, I bet I have the most boring blog to read in the world. :P

I'm back!

Hey, y'all! So I left my blog for a few months....haha. Sorry about that! I think I went on a trip and never got back into it! But anyway.

So. I guess I'll start with my day. I got up at 6:15...I'm kind of an early bird. Then came the familiarness of weekday mornings. Annoying alarms going off and the sound of teeth being brushed. The smell of black coffee. The taste of cinnamon toast and a glass of milk. Getting dressed and making up my bed. Reading my Bible and praying for a few minutes. Then I'll practice piano for 30 minutes and unload the dishwasher for Momma.

Then school starts.

Then I do my homework.

And then I'm free to do what I want or do whatever else needs to get done/

That's pretty much my routine! haha. I don't know if you care about my routine...but hey you're still reading!

Tonight I'll go to church. And then tomorrow. Tomorrow is Thursday. Thursdays are the best day of the week. Why, you may ask? Because tomorrow is the day that I go to United Christian Academy! YES! UCA is my school that I go to once a week for choir and drama. I am convinced that it is the best school. Like, ever. This has only been my first year, but I love it! The classes are GREAT, and my friends there are about the coolest friends in the world.

Well, that concludes my blog post for April 6, 2011! Thank you for reading! :)
